Dr. Kristin E. Johnson - DDS & Owner. Dr. Johnson is a life-long resident of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She graduated from Pioneer High School and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Kalamazoo College. She worked for two years as a Research Assistant in a dental laboratory at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and she obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the U of M in 1998. After graduation, Dr. Johnson joined the Public Health Service and was a dentist in the Indian Health Service for the Umatilla Tribe in Pendleton, Oregon. She returned to Ann Arbor in 2000 and began teaching dental students at the U of M. She joined Liberty Dental, PLC in 2002 and assumed ownership in May of 2008. In her free time, Dr. Johnson takes pottery classes and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets. Also, she volunteers for Food Gatherers and the Humane Society of Huron Valley. Dr. Johnson is active in a number of professional and community organizations and is a member of the following:

• American Dental Association
• Michigan Dental Association
• Washtenaw District Dental Society

Kathy Reilly - Patient Care Coordinator. Kathy joined the Liberty Dental team in 1998 but has been a patient in the practice since 1987. In 2005, Kathy became the Office Manager and she coordinates patient care including greeting patients at the front desk, answering the phone and managing the office schedule. She was born and raised in Maryland and graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland in 1983. She moved to Ann Arbor in 1986 and loves living in such an interesting and vibrant community. Kathy loves music, interior design and Starbucks.

Liza Hamel - Dental Hygienist. Liza graduated from the University of Michigan’s Dental Hygiene program in 1996 and has been working in the Ann Arbor-Jackson area since then. Previous to her dental hygiene career, she worked for 15 years as a microbiologist in the pharmaceutical industry. Liza is dedicated to comprehensive care for her patients and patient education to ensure healthy outcomes.

Angie Peltier - Dental Hygienist. Angie joined Liberty Dental in 2007, shortly after earning her dental hygiene degree from Ferris State University. She has been in the dental field since 2001, previously working as a dental assistant. Angie’s upbeat attitude and drive for perfection make her a great asset to our office. She enjoys going for motorcycle rides with her boyfriend, Chris, and spending time with family and friends.

Tiffany Newlove - Dental Assistant/Buisiness Manager. Tiffany joined the Liberty Dental team in 2007. She has a certificate in dental assisting and has been a chairside assistant for 13 years. She also handles insurance billing and patient accounts. Tiffany is married to Sean and is the proud mom to Emma, 5. The Newloves’ enjoy boating, golfing and reading. Tiffany’s commitment to excellent patient care, and her positive attitude and humor are all great assets to our dental practice.

Ashley Cooke - Dental Assistant. Ashley is the newest member of the Liberty Dental team. She has been in the dental field since 2006 working as a dental assistant. In 2007, Ashley married her high school sweetheart, Steve, and they reside in Pinckney with their two dogs, Bailey and Tucker. In her spare time she enjoys boating and spending time with family and friends. Ashley loves the dental field and is dedicated to making patients feel comfortable while in our care.
